Rickshaw Run 2009

"What is this?" I hear you ask. Essentially, one of the silliest road trips ever. We drove around 3700 kilometers through India. What's the catch? We did it in a rickshaw. Or a Tuk Tuk as some prefer to say. Now, racing across an entire subcontinent in a vehicle built for popping down the shops isn't easy. Especially when you've only got 14 days to complete the task!

Starting at Pondicherry in the south east and finishing in Shillong in the north east of India we followed a haphazard route through tiny towns and sprawling cities, with no plans and no backup vehicles, no doctors, no translators, no fixers, and no help. Neither of us had ever driven a motorised rickshaw before (or even a motorcycle for that matter!) and none of us have any mechanical knowledge whatsover; Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman got nothing!
